Yate
Choral Society is a mixed choir with over 50 members which was formed over
forty years ago. Geoffrey Wickham and
his wife Hazel have been Musical
Director and Accompanist
respectively for all but the first two years of the choirs existence. We sing a varied programme performing at
various public concerts throughout the year and have raised several thousands
of pounds for charity during the lifetime of the choir. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings
during term time at North Road Primary School Yate starting at 7.30p.m. The current subscription rate for 2008 is
£52 per annum but this can be paid half yearly by 1st April and 1st
October. A reduced subscription
applies to married couples or co-habiting partners of £49 per annum each
person. We welcome new members
of all ages and voices and currently have vacancies for Tenors. If

Choir is a full member of National Association of Choirs – http://www.nationalassociationofchoirs.org.uk/ and is registered as a Charity with the Charity Commission –
Registered Number:- 1127423. We
have been fortunate during the life of the choir to join up with choirs in
